Scribes
Scribes in ancient kept track of records. Like priests, there are multiple different types of scribes. For example some kept record of grain and food supply. Some recorded the people living in Egypt. Others collected and calculated tax. Legal Scribes recorded court cases and helped enforce laws. Lastly Military scribes kept track of the army’s soldiers, food supply, and enemies killed in battle. The daily life of a scribe consisted of traveling. Every where a scribe traveled he carried around his tools. Those tools consisted of a pen(sharp reed), paper (papyrus on stone tablet), and also a small container in tablet to hold ink. Lastly they carried a roll of papyrus. A scribe holds there equipment in a pouch. The daily life of a scribe consisted of go to sites and recording important information.
